TMA: Programs for 18 months – k

Open Art Pack [mommy-and-me]

1.5 - 5 years

$130 per pack of 5

  • available for purchase in multiples of 5
  • allows you to attend select Picasso, Monet, and Drop-in and Play classes throughout the semester
  • view the registration page to see which days and times are available
  • you must register for specific days and times upon purchase, but may change at any time
  • you may make-up any class you miss

Picasso [mommy-and-me]

1.5 - 4 years

  • 45 minute class featuring station play at 5 activity stations
  • experiment, create, and play to build self-esteem and confidence with free-play
  • activities at each station change every week
  • each class ends with story time

Monet [mommy-and-me]

2 - 5 years

$185

  • 1 hour class featuring station play at 4 activity stations and a teacher-directed group project
  • experiment, create, and play to build self-esteem and confidence with free-play
  • activities at each station change every week
  • build listening skills and increase attention span during the group project
  • each class ends with story time

Chagall [drop-off]

3 - 4 years

$195(1hr) / $250(2hrs)

  • 1 hour class featuring station play at 4 activity stations and a teacher-directed group project
  • experiment, create, and play to build self-esteem and confidence with free-play
  • activities at each station change every week
  • group project features concepts including pattern, color theory, and symmetry

Artsy Explorers [drop-off]

  • 1 hour class featuring station play, a teacher-directed group project, or both
  • transitional class between TMA classes and the Studio 356 classroom
  • each and every class is unique
  • teaches art skills, craft projects, and offers experimentation with different concoctions
  • caters to a variety of students allowing for creativity and individuality

  • 45 minute or 1 hour class featuring station play
  • choose a Picasso, Monet, or Chagall style class
  • minimum of 6 students required to run
  • maximum of 12 students
  • seats not filled by your group will be open to the public

Studio 356: Programs for k – 8th grade

Storybook Art

k - 1st grade

  • new stories and related projects every week
  • students learn reading and comprehension skills
  • teachers and students discuss the meaning of the story and how the illustrations are made
  • the story provides inspiration for the fine art project
  • different kinds of media are explored each week

Art Sampler

1st - 2nd grade

  • students will explore drawing, painting, and sculptural materials
  • teachers will discuss both abstract and representational art
  • the session yields 9-12 works of art
  • students of all skill levels are welcome

Cartooning

3rd - 8th grade

  • students will learn about environments, body gestures, and facial expressions
  • teachers will discuss different strategies for shading in their work
  • students will create their own characters and storylines
  • students of all skill levels are welcome

Canvas Masterpieces

3rd - 5th grade

$220

  • students will follow step-by-step instructions to create their own masterpieces
  • artwork may include acrylic paint on canvas, watercolor on paper, or both
  • painting techniques are taught throughout the course
  • students will complete 12 - 14 paintings
  • students of all skill levels are welcome
